Okay, also ist Mufasas Mutter "Afia" und sein Vater "Masego".

Ich habe mal kurz etwas recherchiert und weder den einen, noch den anderen Namen in einem Kisuaheli-Wörterbuch gefunden. Allerdings spuckte die Wikipedia das aus:

Kurios: Im Urban Dictionary ist Masega als Name angegeben, der in der Regel Mädchen zugeschrieben wird.

Dem würde ich jetzt aber nicht zu viel Bedeutung beimessen, da es auch einen Sportler gibt, der mit Vornamen so heißt.

Bei Afia wird es auch interessan, aber ich habe es aus Zeitgründen gerade nur überflogen.

Also haben wir einmal einen Bantu Namen und dann einen aus Ghana.

Ich werde das Gefühl nicht los, dass dieses Mal absichtlich Namen in anderen Sprachen genommen wurden, um so eventuell auch nochmal die Tatsache zu unterstreichen, dass Mufasa eben nicht aus dem Geweihten Land kommt.

Achja und Scars/Takas Eltern sind auch wieder schön simpel gehalten.

• "Eshe" ist Kisuaheli für "Leben".
• "Obasi" bedeutet "Zu Ehren des höchsten Gottes" und ist Nigerianisch.

Tja und dann hätten wir noch den mysteriäsen "Kiros". Das ist ein eritreischer Name und bedeutet "König". Ich frage mich, welche Rolle er wohl spielt.
